Combat Chatter – Makes your allies squawk their status occasionally in battle.Means more of the stuff from all the mods above will show up, I think. DynaSector – Extra randomization for more variety of enemy fleet comps, &c. Underworld – Nastier and more varied pirate forces. Also adds a high-end bounty system with unique enemies. Ships/Weapons Pack – Adds a lot of ships to “fill in” some combat roles. The Mayorate – An isolationist/transhumanist faction with some rather scary missile boats.Intersteller Imperium – A Roman-Empire-styled faction themed around slow-and-steady assault fleets.Blackrock Drive Yards – Probably the best single-faction mod, introducing a wide variety of ships with unusual drive systems.I’ve also got a bunch of mods loaded - many of these I’ll be experiencing for the first time. I’m playing the latest alpha release (as of May 2016), 0.7.2a. The game’s been in development for years and is still a ways away from finished, but the stuff that’s implemented already is pretty fun and stable (and about as full-featured as Mount & Blade ever was, to be honest), so I’ve already gotten my money’s worth many times over. It’s got cool fleet battles and a sandbox-RPG-style campaign mode. Starsector is a single-player 2D space combat game.
